Why I want to become a massage therapist.

by Rachel
(McCool Junction, Nebraska, United States)

Hi am Rachel. I am 15 year old sophomore in a small town high school. I am looking into the profession of massage. I really like the fact that we can work at our own pace. I have been interested in the field of massage for a year or so now. I like how we can work one on one with others and I love working with my hands. Here at my school I am known to giving the best massages around. I gave one to my mom one day and then the next day I had about four or five students come up to me in class and ask me if I could give them a massage. Well of course I couldn't turn them down. Now I give massages everyday, I have taught my self how to you use hot stones and other techniques.
I am really looking forward to going to college for massage therapy to learn more about the field of work. I have done a lot of research and read a lot of books and watched a lot of shows on how to become a great massage therapist and I will say by doing this I feel I have a great chance of becoming a great massage therapist. I have not only done research on massage therapy but I have researched schools and I plan on going to the School of Massage Utah. It is one of the best massage schools around. You can find similar schools in Colorado and Arizona.
Well this is all I have to say. This site is really a great way to learn on this career and I want to thank you Julie for creating it.
