Valley of Vapors School of Massage, Hot Springs, AR

Valley of Vapors is a state accredited school offering a 500 hour State Licensed Professional Training Program
specializing in Therapeutic and Deep Tissue Massage.

CURRICULUM:
Anatomy & Physiology-- The study of structure and
function of the human body and its relation to massage
therapy.


Therapeutic Massage and Deep Tissue-- Techniques
for moving lactic acid (waste product of metabolism) out of the muscles, thus improving movement and function of the body.


Sports Massage-- Indications and contraindications of
working with injuries and which are most effective and which are potentially damaging.


Reflexology-- Based on the Oriental principles of zone
theory that reflexes in the feet and hands relate to areas throughout the body, and how to use this information to evaluate the body and apply proper techniques effectively


Hydrotherapy-- Use of hot and cold for relaxation and
therapeutic applications.


Heliotherapy and Electrotherapy-- Effects of light on
the body and use of electrical equipment for applications of heat or vibration for relaxing therapeutic effects.


Also courses in: Swedish Massage, Bathouse Massage and Spa services such as: Facials, Paraffin Treatments, and other related subjects


Business Management, Marketing and Ethics-- basic
skills are discussed as to their application to the massage therapy profession.


Continuing Education Classes-- special seminars for
for the student and the practicing professional.

Audio and Videos-- covering not only anatomy and physiology, but also various hands-on techniques and principals


Hand-outs-- elaborating on and simplifying the material covered in the textbooks


Wall Charts and Demonstration Aids-- on various body parts, conditions, diseases, therapeutic principles and techniques.
Enrollment
Enrolling and beginning class is not restricted to a particular
time of the year. The Valley of Vapors curriculum is so designed
as to allow a student to begin at anytime. Students may attend
class on a full time or part-time basis. Class attendance can be
tailored to meet the students individual needs.






Requirements for Enrollment:
Down payment of $300.00 and payment plan agreeded upon by Instructor, such that the full cost of school is paid by date of graduation. $3,400.00 Most major credit cards are accepted. Student Loans Available.
Student Loans are available to those who are in need of them.They are Government Loans and require a co-signer. Interest is between 5% and 8% The first payment is due 6 months after you graduate. Minimum monthly payment is $50.00. Contact Judy Hankins for more information on obtaining a loan.

The Valley of Vapors School of Massage is located in South Park Plaza, right next to the Cornerstone Shopping Center, only minutes away from both the Hot Springs Mall and the Walmart on Central Ave. For Students who like to leave for lunch, there are multitudes of restaurants to choose from and even more shopping options all within minutes of the school.
