sorry if this may sound stupid.

by Chail
(canada, AB)

I've decided to do massage therapy for a good portion of my life, but a friend told me that it might take a toll on my body doing it, and I don't think I could give up playing piano and guitar for a career. (that and you can only do it for something like six years because of the toll on the body). And as per the pay in money i'm sure it will be like a lot of jobs. i'm not worried about that as long as i can feed myself.
Oh i'm not sure if it's inportent but at the moment I am sixteen.

Don't be a slave therapist
by: Hans Albert Quistorff, LMP

You can massage for your whole life. Many of us are second career starting when our bodies were failing. But wee hear of many young practitioners starting out working for a spa owner with limited technique knowledge wearing out in a few years from over use. At almost 68 I use techniques that do not stress my body and achieve results that are not matched by vigorous massage.

P. S. I noted that you are in Canada where at your age you have an opportunity to get an education to specialise in the health care system and have a long career where the sensitivity to how the human body works can enhance your use of musical instruments.
