Pueblo, Colorado Massage Licensing

by Kathy
(Pueblo, CO)

Colorado does not have licensing for Massage Therapists on a state level it is left up to the various counties and cities of Colorado.
In the city of Pueblo Colorado you need to have a certificate with a minimum of 500 hours.

They do no background check nor do they check for diseases of any kind.

You need to pay $150 every January to be licensed for the year and they do not pro-rate that price. You have to go to the City Hall in the basement to do this.

If a therapist wants to work out of their home they also need to contact the local fire inspector to have a fire inspection done of the property, then one needs to go to the city zoning office to make sure the home address is zoned for business.
To work out of an office you only need to provide the location address and verify with the zoning office that said address is set up to conduct business.
