Massage Therapy Supplies and Equipment

Choosing quality Massage Supplies will be an important part of your path in a career as a massage therapist. Purchasing the best products is an investment in your career.

Here is a list of some of the important things you will need:

  • Massage Tables - I recommend getting one that has a lifetime warranty if you are serious about your commitment to your work. You can often find a great deal on E-bay or find used tables at your school or local massage supply store. The main things to consider is table length and width, leg support mechanisms, portable or stationary, and foam cushion. I have seen many cushions become too compressed and uncomfortable.

  • Sheets - buy lots of them! Twin fitted sheets fit most tables. I recommend 100% cotton. The more thread count the better as they will last longer. Oils can stain the sheets so you may want to take this into consideration if you use oil. I use lotion which doesn't cause any problem.

  • Massage Oil or Lotion - This is really a personal preference. Try different types until you find what you like. Lotions suit me better as my clients work downtown and usually go back to work and there isn't a shower. I also prefer the way it feels, the glide ability and absorption rate.

  • Massage Chair - You can build a whole business doing chair massage. I recommend using a chair for marketing your regular practice. It comes in handy for special events, office parties or other events where there is a high number of people and limited time.

  • Pillows and bolsters

  • Massage Software -Share your recommendations for software and read what others are recommending
  • Massage Marketing Programs Review, share your program or read what others have to say about various massage marketing programs online.
  • Massage Marketing Books Review, share your program or read what others have to say about various massage marketing books.
