- I recommend getting one that has a lifetime warranty if you are serious about your commitment to your work. You can often find a great deal on E-bay or find used tables at your school or local massage supply store. The main things to consider is table length and width, leg support mechanisms, portable or stationary, and foam cushion. I have seen many cushions become too compressed and uncomfortable. Sheets - buy lots of them! Twin fitted sheets fit most tables. I recommend 100% cotton. The more thread count the better as they will last longer. Oils can stain the sheets so you may want to take this into consideration if you use oil. I use lotion which doesn't cause any problem. Massage Oil or Lotion - This is really a personal preference. Try different types until you find what you like. Lotions suit me better as my clients work downtown and usually go back to work and there isn't a shower.
