Massage Listing

Creating a massage listing for your massage practice is an important part of building your practice. Writing about yourself here can help you to practice writing to promote your business. This website is on the first page of Google for searches such as 'massage therapy', 'massage therapist' and other searches for massage. There is a good chance of your listing being found on the first page for a search like 'massage, your city' so it is important to create a listing that promotes your practice.

This is a content driven site and the more content you can provide about yourself, your massage practice and what you do, the better your chance of actually getting new clients from this listing alone (or in combination with your website and contact information.)

Start with providing some information about what solution you provide for people. People are not looking for you. They are looking for information about how to solve a problem for themselves. Starting a massage listing talking about yourself and what you do is a sure way to turn people away.

What solution do you provide?

What is your unique selling proposition?

What sets you apart from others?

Do you offer a unique service? Is your business centrally located and easy to get to? Do you offer a special service that no one else offers?

After you write a few short paragraphs about this, then you can let people know more about who you are. How long have you been in practice? What training have you had? Why do you do massage and what meaning does it have for you?

Be sure to add your contact information - your website and/or phone number. Email addresses are not recommended as people scan websites for email addresses to sell to spammers.

To learn more about writing to sell your services see these free ebook resources:

Make your Words Sell This is one of the best pieces I have ever read on how to write about the benefits of massage so that people will be able to understand it. It is quite lengthy but well worth the time.

Make your Content Presell Shorter than MYWS above but gives you the basics to learning how to talk about what it is that you do.

The service sellers masters course. Yes massage is a service business so this really applies to massage therapists. Learning to figure out what solution you provide can help you to find clients that want you. People are more likely to pursue the things that they want not necessarily the things that they need.

If you would like help in creating your listing, please contact me and provide your website address along with answers to the questions above.
