Massage Therapy Professional Community

Building a strong massage community is one of my personal projects. As massage therapists, we work isolated in massage rooms and lack the professional support that is needed to take the massage profession to the next level. We also deal with the most delicate of issues with clients. Because clients seek us out for help with their health, it creates a power imbalance from the very start of the relationship. This imbalance is often a reflection of their early childhood upbringing and it creates the dynamics that are part of the therapeutic relationship. Participating in the massage profession is one of the best ways to become aware of yourself and share with others with the common intention of touching the world.

The more you can participate, the more you will get out of your profession or potential profession.
