Massage Therapy Careers:
How to decide if you want to become a massage therapist , choose a massage
school and be a successful massage therapist
The truth about becoming a massage therapist...
What massage schools and associations won't tell you about massage therapy
careers...
Have you been thinking about a career in massage so that you can help people?
- Have you been told or thought that you have good hands?
Are you looking for a career that will allow you more freedom and meaning in
your life?
Are you wondering if it is possible at your age or wondering how much you
can really make as a massage therapist?
Do you have a deep burning desire to have a more meaningful career - helping
others (or as you will find out- learning to be of service to others?)
- Have you been helped by massage with some condition or injury that no
doctor could help you with?
While these are some of the reasons why people are drawn to the massage
profession, they are also the very same things that will lead to burnout in the
massage profession or lack of success in finding a high paying job or building a
successful massage practice. The thing is that it can be a different way once
you become more aware of the reasons that drive you to make your choices in
life.
Before you decide whether or not a massage therapy career is for you and
before you decide which massage school to go to, be sure to read this website in
it's entirety. If you can get through the whole site and then still say "Yes I
want to go to massage school", you will be the most informed massage therapist
and have a greater chance of a successful and rewarding career than any
other.
So hopefully you will find this information at least interesting and food for
thought.
I am writing this after 20 years as a successful massage therapist in Seattle
WA and have been updating this site based on feedback from readers.
A massage therapy career can be a very rewarding path - both financially,
mentally, emotionally and spiritually and whether you think you can be
successful or if you can't be successful as a massage therapist - You are right!
Thanks for reading.
