Arkansas licenses the following categories of massage therapists:Massage Therapist, Master Massage Therapist, Instructor and requires 500 hrs and State Exam OR 500 hrs and NCETMB. It isn't really clear from the
Arkansas Massage Therapy Board
But it appears that you need 500 hours to be a massage therapist and an additional 250 hours of experience to become a "master massage therapist" which you can actually get from assisting teaching at a massage school. If anyone has anymore information about what it is like to really get licensed and practice massage in Arkansas, please let me know.
