Antalgic Posture Pain Specialist

by Hans Albert Quistorff, LMP
(Wauna Gig Harbor WA)

Hans Albert Quistorff, LMP
Antalgic Posture Pain Specialist
Born in 1940. Started in the Christian ministry of Jehovah's witnesses in 1960.
Supported myself with cleaning and grounds care but by 1994 my body was giving out. My choice of career change was massage therapy.

When I completed the licensing preparation program of Seattle Massage School I already had a working relationship with my chiropractor from doing his maintenance work. The doctor that was doing his X-ray and new patient intake wanted to move on to his own practice therefore this position became available for me. This was a very good fit for me; I excelled in assessment in school and had the academic aptitude for X-ray technician training.

For 11 years I held this position having a varied activity each day doing intakes, re-exams, X-ray, reports and therapy. I worked as an employee 30 hours a week and built my own client base where I lived. My reputation as a therapist that could help difficult conditions spread by word of mouth So that by the time I began training replacements and begin collecting Social Security I have a good base to supplement my meager retirement.

I still measure X-ray film part of one day a week and chart them for the doctor which gives me access to his therapy room on the other therapist's day off.

I am currently mentoring two therapists one male, one female and an extern from community college massage program, female.
