Alive and Well! Institute of Conscious BodyWork Marin County

by Magnolia Conway, Admissions Advisor at Alive and Well!
(Corte Madera, CA 94925)

Alive and Well! Has been Training BodyWorkers and Healers for over 20 years and we love what we do!

Conscious Evolution Through Somatic Education:
Our mission is to train massage therapists and bodyworkers to work with the power of conscious intention to produce transformation and healing in the bodies and lives of those they touch.

We have various programs and depths of study available to accommodate the needs of the student. Our school has a strong foundation in structural bodywork and has developed NeuroMuscular Reprogramming, a unique and highly sought after form of bodywork. The school offers a wide variety of modalities taught by those that excel in their field. Reflexology, Polarity Therapy, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Active Isolated stretching, Sports Injury, Brain Function Facilitation and Emotional Energetic Tune-ups are just a few of the classes we offer.

We are a small school and we offer plenty of personal attention and mentorship with our skilled practitioners.

In 1987 Jocelyn Olivier started her massage school in Marin County. Editors of massage magazines often seek her thoughts about massage education. From these articles and from many in the greater San Francisco Bay Area massage community I became aware of her extraordinary teaching. In January 2007
I attended in San Francisco an event where she presented an evening lecture about and table demonstration of her work. My high expectations were greatly exceeded. In the discussion following I said that what I had just seen and heard ought to be made available on a DVD set. She thanked me for my support, saying that only her commitment to her teaching schedule has prevented her from finding the time to do a DVD production.
